Are We Having *#$% Fun Yet?

{gasp} I’m finally coming up for air!

Remember on Monday, when I wrote that Microsoft was going to release a record-setting 14 Security Bulletins on Tuesday?  Well, they did. Fourteen bulletins, 8 of them rated CRITICAL, and 6 rated IMPORTANT.  If you are running Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Internet Exploder Explorer, Microsoft .Net Framework, or Microsoft Silverlight – you should have patched by now.  If not, you need to Get Thee To The Patchery, ASAP.  Don’t forget to make sure that MS10-046 is also applied: the amount of malware that is making use of that vulnerability to load nefarious garbage on PCs is growing daily.

Needless to say, I’ve been kinda busy this week.

While you’re at it: Adobe has released Security bulletin SB10-016, announcing an update for Adobe Flash player and Adobe AIR. This update addresses several critical vulnerabilities which affect software running on the Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and Solaris platforms.  Also, there are reports of further vulnerabilities in Adobe Reader and Acrobat, so keep an eye out for another patch for that soon.
