It seems oddly appropriate that, just as we prepare to begin the winter season, that the trees finally give us some autumn colors:
Fall colors.
In Houston.
But don't worry. This only lasts like a week or so.

nice colors! ours have long gone & blown away. lots of maples in our yard, but they mostly turn yellow or right to brown. but colors not to far since I am surrounded by farm lands & most homes have more than my 1 acre. Have a wonder Christmas time. Do you ever get snow in your part of Texas?

We do get snow from time to time – I think we had several snow days in the past 2 years, even though the norm is about once a decade. The last time we had snow on Christmas Eve was 2004, my mother was in the hospital and didn’t believe it until I showed her photos of the church with snow on the roof.

I know what you mean. I’m in New Orleans and I think we just skipped over fall, then had a few winter days, and now it feels like summer again. Go figure!

Thanks for sharing. Living in northern Pa it sure is nice to see some autumn colors again. Of course I don’t think I would want fall trees in my scenery for Christmas having grown up in the north.
