Hi. I had planned on a bunch of pretty photos to liven up your Wednesday, but something called “life” sorta got in the way. Since my post last week, I have had issues crop up in my professional life, my family life, and my personal life. As a result, I spent the better part of one day in the Emergency Room of a major hospital in the Texas Medical Center, and the following four days were spent in my bedroom, with occasional trips to the restroom. Fortunately for me, the doctor in the ER gave me some medication which really helped (excuse me, I meant REALLY helped!), but today I went almost back to square one, thanks to the stress inherent in finishing a move to a new office building, finding your stuff all boxed up and inaccessible, your computer stuff not working properly, etc. The folks at the office were really helpful (excuse me, I meant REALLY helpful!), but the stress triggered another attack. Maybe this wasn’t altogether a bad thing, as it did result in a specialist making room on her schedule to see me.
However, it was bad enough. Bad enough I desperately needed something, anything to take my mind off of the fact that so many of my body parts refuse to obey the instructions of my brain, while telling me that they are weak, and tired.
Fortunately, the folks at my local newspaper came through for me, with the following headline on their home page:

So how do we blame THIS on Bush!?
And, to show you that this isn’t some kind of silly joke, here is a link to the article, titled Excuse me: Gassy dinosaurs helped warm Earth. I particularly like the last paragraph, which helped bring me back to earth (as it were):
University of Victoria climate scientist Andrew Weaver said: “Frankly, methane emissions from dinosaur burps is probably not the No. 1 thing we should be concerned about in modern society.”
Truer words, Professor. Truer words…
Anyway, hopefully next week I’ll be back to my more usual cheerful, picture takin’ self. Until then, let me leave you with this snap of Bee and the Uglyworms, snug in their new “office”:
Happy NNWW*, y’all!

Wow, I hope you feel better soon. I recently had a bout with a stress triggered illness that took me out of rotation for a while too! Stress is no joke…
