Today is Day 17 of my Photo-a-Day self-assignment:
Last week, I had some blood drawn for tests, and sure enough the bruise is still visible. Today, I went in for a plasma exchange treatment. As I was getting stuck, I realized that we consider bleeding with leeches a barbaric, medically unsound treatment – but there I was, getting needles put in both arms in preparation for having 3 liters of my blood removed from my body, “cleaned up”, and then returned.
(Note: This is part of a self-assignment I am trying, challenging myself to take – and post – at least one picture per day, each day, during the month of September. So, check back, and see what else I come up with!)
