This is Day 23 of my Photo-a-Day self-assignment.
The Bethel Missionary Baptist Church was located in Houston’s Fourth Ward, site of Freedmen’s Town, the neighborhood established by freed slaves after the Civil War. The building burned in 2005, and the land is being converted into a park.
(Note: This is part of a self-assignment I am trying, challenging myself to take – and post – at least one picture per day, each day, during the month of September. So, check back, and see what else I come up with!)
