For my weekend-before-my-birthday celebration, I headed out to the Houston Museum of Natural Science in Sugar Land to check out their new Hall of Paleontology. Pictures from there will be coming in a future week (maybe next week even!), but today I thought I would share a couple of contrasting images – one taken in the gift shop of several of the toys on sale there,
and what I think may be the best image from my visit – a shot of the skull of a Tyrannosaurus Rex named “Stan”.

Great captures, so glad they are in plastic or sculpture, It’s hard to be too sad they went extinct when they are so immensely huge!!! They found mastodon skeletons about 5 miles from my house, imagine the fence you’d have to build to keep them out of the garden.
